After years of frustration, the founders of Medicinal Plants for Animals (Jen and Raquel) finally found a really knowledgeable and collaborative pharmacist (Aspa Dukas). This changed things a lot for us – but we still wanted simpler processes for our clients and resources for our colleagues that didn’t come from someone selling something.
We maintain a principled approach to plant medicine, emphasising transparency and unbiased education.
No direct affiliation with products
We neither own nor sell any medicinal cannabis products. Our focus is purely on providing accurate information and facilitating access where necessary.
Yes, we do have a shop where we sell a very small range of medicinal plant formulas (created by Jen). These do not contain any cannabis at all, not even hemp oil.
Unbiased recommendations
Our primary goal is to offer education. We aren't incentivised to prescribe or promote any specific medication. Instead, our mission is to ensure that both veterinarians and pet owners are equipped with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions regarding plant medicine.

While we do charge a nominal fee for processing prescriptions, it's essential to note that the pharmacy is compensated for the medicine directly. We maintain no financial ties or affiliations with our partner pharmacy, ensuring an unbiased relationship that prioritises the health of our patients.
We do charge vet consultation fees to pet owners who want to speak to our vets about plant medicine.
